Opened in November 2011, Coffee Cat is located on Kings Beach, Queensland.

Coffee Cat is named after the Dr Seuss series of books. You may be familiar with the series of 30 books including, 'Cat in the Hat (1957)' and 'Oh, the Places you'll Go.' It is thought that the owner of Coffee Cat has a simlar language to these books.

Damian commenced the development of Coffee Cat in July 2011 and served the first Lavazza Super Crema Coffee at Coffee Cat on Saturday 12th November, 2011.

Over the past 25 years, Damian Brown has developed an impressive skill set through his management consulting roles with hotels, hospitals, sporting clubs, wineries and restaurants and meetings and conference businesses.
Working with organizations including Melbourne’s Hilton on the Park, All Seasons Hotels; Kingston Heath Golf Club, Heidelberg Golf Club; Woodlands Golf Club; Mornington Peninsula winery Paringa Estate; 5-star Boutique Hotel Lindenderry at Red Hill, the New and historic Eynesbury Township and Golf Course in Victoria and more recently with Pacific Harbour Golf & Country Club, Damian is known for his strategic and practical support for organizations and their people during periods of workplace change.
Although Damian has refined his knowledge in the great southern state of Victoria over the past 18 years, he was born in Bowen, Qld and was privately schooled courtesy of the 'fragile' Christian Brothers Schools in Queensland before moving to Melbourne to commence an undergraduate applied science degree as a mature age cool guy.
Damian developed and opened ‘Coffee Cat’, a new boutique café on King’s Beach in November 2011 which provides an exceptional coffee experience for locals and visitors. It also provides Damian with a part-time opportunity to nurture his creative and innovative nature whilst expelling some of that infectious energy.
Damian brings a practical, methodical and motivational approach to his work, and is particularly adept at using his positive beliefs and attitudes in energizing teams to achieve successful outcomes. Damian is passionate about building high-performance workplaces and is able to advocate fairly for owners, management and employees.
He applies much of the experience gained during seven years clinical management, business development and university teaching in the public and private healthcare sectors, and his trade experience prior to entering the hospitality industry in 1995.
Damian continues to provide strategic business advice and support across the industry.
